YOUR 5 GOLDEN RULES FOR BETTER GOLF IN 20I8
1. ALWAYS WARM UP BEFORE PLAY
Make sure your muscles are loose and limber before you head to the first tee – some simple stretches or a few gentle practice swings with a couple of clubs.
2. NEVER MAKE TWO MISTAKES
Compounding errors is the quickest way to wreck your card. If you make a mistake, take the smartest option with your next shot, not the most adventurous.
3. DON’T THINK TECHNIQUE
Once your round begins, focus on playing golf not your technique. A simple swing thought to keep you focused is fine – five or six complex moves is not!
4. BE REALISTIC ON YOUR YARDAGES
Give yourself the best possible chance of hitting greens by knowing how far you hit each club. Be realistic and always allow for a slight mishit.
5. NEVER PLAY TO THE GALLERY
All of the world’s top golfers play to their strengths. You should, too. Never attempt a shot you know you can’t play simply to impress your partners.
