TaylorMade’s new P·790 irons incorporate distance, playability and feel improvements into a forged iron.

The player-preferred shape of the P790 irons comes through the use of a hollow cavity construction and new SpeedFoam technology, which delivers an iron unlike any other in the company’s line-up.

SpeedFoam is injected into the clubhead to provide face support and increased ball speed while also improving sound and feel via the technology’s sound-damping properties. And the P·790’s hollow cavity design allows TaylorMade’s engineers to improve forgiveness and playability by increasing the club’s moment of inertia and optimally positioning the club’s centre of gravity through the use of internal metal-injection-moulded tungsten weighting.

The P·790’s new wrapped face, which creates a cut-thru Speed Pocket in the sole, is ultra-thin at just 1.75mm and features a re-engineered version of TaylorMade’s ‘Inverted Cone Technology’.
