THE SUPER SIX

-

MIN WOO LEE (WA) AAC APPEARANCES: 2017 (T3). WORLD AMATEUR GOLF RANKING*: 13. Played in the final group at Royal Wellington last year and finished T3. He will likely be the highest-ranked player in the field and has plenty of big event experience.

DAVID MICHELUZZI (VIC) AAC APPEARANCES: NIL. WAGR*: 16. Micheluzzi (pictured above) has enjoyed a strong 12 months on the amateur scene. Probably didn’t play as well as he would’ve expected at the Fiji International and the US Amateur – but the experience of playing with Ernie Els for two rounds in Fiji will only benefit him going forward.

ZACH MURRAY (VIC) AAC APPEARANCES: NIL. WAGR*: 29. Making his first appearance at this event but has plenty of experience with crowds from his four Australian Opens. Was the best of the Aussies at the US Amateur in August, progressing to the Round of 16 in Match Play.

DYLAN PERRY (NSW) AAC APPEARANCES: 2017 (T15). WAGR*: 31. Finished T15 in Wellington last year and appeared unflustered by the crowds and his media commitments. He is hungry for success in what will be his final event as an amateur.

SHAE WOOLS-COBB (QLD) AAC APPEARANCES: 2017 (T6). WAGR*: 41. Wools-Cobb (pictured below) played scintillating golf in the opening round last year to shoot the low round of the tournament (eight-under 63) and earn a four-stroke lead. Faded to eventually share sixth place but arrives in Singapore with more experience.

BLAKE WINDRED (NSW) AAC APPEARANCES: NIL. WAGR*: 55. The Novocastrian has produced solid results on home soil and is gaining experience internationally. He finished T7 at the European Amateur Championship and was runner-up at the Porter Cup in the US.
