MEET THE NEW MIZUNO

-

Mizuno’s desire to be known for more than its outstanding irons has been clear for a number of years. And the new ST wood range, culmination of a three-year, rapid-fire driver development project, are further proof.

Following on from the success and Tour play of the ST190 and ST200, are the ST-X and ST-Z drivers, as well as the ST-Z fairway woods.

After feedback on previous models, the company focused on refining the sound and feel of the new drivers, while also adding ball speed.

The ball speed element is largely down to the ‘SAT2041 Beta Ti’ face, the ST-Z and ST-X drivers carbon crown helping to also reposition CG for longer and straighter drivers.

SAT2041 stands for Super/Alloy/Titanium/20 percent Vanadium/4 percent Aluminium/1 percent Tin. And it offers 17 percent more tensile strength and 8 percent more flexibility than traditional 6-4Ti.

The ST-Z driver features a carbon crown and toe section, and is built for a straight, low spin flight, superseding the ST200 driver. Incorporating a more compact profile, the ST-X driver is a draw-biased option.

Combining more classic looks with modern technology, the ST-Z fairway woods are powered by a ‘MAS1C’ face that is the company’s most powerful to date, while a carbon crown and ‘WAVE Technology’ sole optimally place the CG and increase MOI for forgiveness. RRP: $799 (drivers); $499 (fairways). Contact: For more information, visit www.mizunogolf.com
