COBRA COPPER SERIES IRONS

Three new models to inspire all golfers.

Inspired by Rickie Fowler’s favoured finish for his own irons, Cobra Golf has released three iron models in its new Copper Series, the all-new KING RF Forged MB announced alongside the existing KING Tour, and the KING Forged TEC irons.

Taking a lead from the limited edition RF Proto irons developed to replicate Fowler’s clubs, the new blade iron – KING RF Forged MB – are shaped to match Rickie’s preferences and forged five times from soft 1025 carbon steel for a pure feel.

Featuring CNC milled faces and grooves to produce spin and ball flight control, the muscle back has the centre of gravity (CG) placed precisely in line with the centre of the face through the use of tungsten weighting in the toe.

To cater to better players wanting slightly more forgiveness, the company’s established KING Tour irons are created with Metal Injection Moulding (MIM), an extremely precise process, while a TPU insert delivers soft feel.

The most forgiving and distance-driven iron of the Copper Series, the KING Forged TEC utilises a hollow-body construction that is filled with foam microspheres to enhance feel, combined with a blade-like appearance.

Like the other two models in the range, tungsten is used for optimal weigh placement, whereas a forged ‘PWRSHELL’ face insert is unique to the power driven model. The insert increasing launch angles and speed across a greater are of the face.

All three models come fitted with ‘COBRA CONNECT Smart Grips’ to allow golfers opting for the new copper look the same game tracking abilities available through the rest of the Cobra KING range. RRP: $299 per iron (KING RF Forged MB & KING Tour); $269 per iron (KING Forged Tec).
