BATEMANS BAY

There are so many things to do in Batemans Bay, you are spoilt for choice! Fishing, surfing, jet skiing, kite surfing and swimming are popular water-based activities with locals and visitors.

A Merinda river cruise is a perfect way to see the stunning bay and the Clyde River as it stretches back toward the mountains. A kayak tour through the mangroves is a unique way to explore the river and bay. Try an oyster kayak tour to the oyster leases and sample the molluscs that have made Batemans Bay famous in the seafood world.

MORUYA

Visitors to Moruya from the north cross the bridge into town and are welcomed by stunning river vistas to the east and west. As you might imagine, much of Moruya’s recreation is linked to the river.

Popular water-based activities include, boating, fishing, kayaking, water skiing and surfing at the river mouth. But it’s equally as entertaining on land or in the air! Take a scenic seaplane flight or skydive over the beach.

If that sounds a little too adventurous, Moruya also offers boutique shopping with traditional shop fronts offering gifts, handcrafts, home wares, fashion, shoes and jewellery.

NAROOMA

Narooma is one of the most spectacular and picturesque towns on the NSW south coast, with a series of sweeping bends leading you to the stunning aquamarine waters of the estuary and old steel bridge.

The town has plenty of non-golfing attractions to offer, and you won’t go hungry either.

Head down to Forsters Bay for fantastic water views. The timber boatsheds tucked beside the bridge offer fresh local oysters and seafood direct to the public, with oysters shucked in front of you if you’d like to eat them then and there.

The Tilba Market is a weekly farmers market held at the Big Hall at central Tilba. Get in early to grab some of the freshest local produce on the south coast.

Barunguba Montague Island is a natural wonder and can easily be reached from Narooma. It is a mecca for marine life including whales, New Zealand and Australian fur seals, little penguins and migratory birds. Visiting Barunguba Montague Island is a must-do with plenty of adventure activities on offer like whale watching, penguin tours, scuba diving, snorkelling, seal dives, grey nurse shark dives, wildlife cruises and bird watching trips.
