Edible festive gifts

IT CAN BE A SEASON OF OVERINDULGENCE, BUT NOT SO WITH THESE HEALTHY AND DELICIOUS GIFTS

Good Health (Australia) - - Content - Christina Leon runs the health and lifestyle online community Reveal Yourself.

Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year. I love decorating the tree, wrapping presents, listening to Christmas music and especially Christmas baking. I have fond memories as a child of being in the kitchen with my mum making Christmas cookies, packaging them up with beautiful festive ribbons and dropping them off as gifts.

Now I love to follow this same tradition with my daughter. A few weeks out from Christmas we spend a day baking in the kitchen. We have Michael Bublé playing in the background while we create our favourite Christmas recipes such as my chocolate berry bliss balls, Christmas granola, and ginger and cinnamon cookies.

Each recipe is made with healthy ingredients and packed full of festive flavours and spices. Once our delicious treats are made we place them in jars or gift bags; we make sure we decorate them with beautiful Christmas bows, and include hand-written cards. There is something so special about receiving delicious homemade treats.

Merry Christmas everyone!
