The meat of the matter
There’s another strike against processed foods: eating processed meat is associated with an increased risk of breast cancer. Research published in the International Journal of Cancer found that those who ate a large amount of processed meat (around 25-30g a day, on average) had a nine percent increased risk of developing the cancer, compared to those who ate the lowest amounts (up to 2g a day).
