Good Health (Australia) - - Be Informed -

With anxiety on the rise, a timely study has found that omega 3 supplements may reduce symptoms of the condition. The analysis of 16 studies published in

JAMA Network Open

found that, overall, omega 3 supplements were associated with significant relief from anxiety symptoms, especially for those who took up to 2000mg a day. However, anxiety levels didn’t ease in those without a clinical diagnosis of anxiety or teens under 18. And, says senior author Yutaka Matsuoka, you don’t need to take supplements to reap the benefits – eating mackerel, sardines, tuna or salmon will do just as well.
