Made for men

Essano’s co-creator Shane Young suffers from irritated skin and couldn’t find anything on the market for men to calm it, so he set out to create a plant-based natural range Essano Man. All are made with natural ingredient­s including aloe vera, green tea, Tasmanian pepperberr­y and calming ginger extract. They are formulated and made in New Zealand too.

Tighten and regenerate

Give your skin a natural uplift with Bee Yü’s glorious Cleanse, Tighten & Regenerate Mask, $148, with bee venom, clover flower extract and swertia chirata extract. The powerful combinatio­n of ingredient­s of this pore-refining masque really does give the skin a beautiful refresh.

Multi-masques

Different areas of your face can have different needs so Sukin has come up with a two-pronged approach with its Pink Clay Facial Masque for sensitive skin which contains aloe vera and cucumber extract, $21.50, and Coffee & Coconut Exfoliatin­g Masque, $21.50. Apply the coffee masque to the T-zone and pink clay masque to the cheeks (which typically need hydrating). Leave for 15 minutes, then remove and say hello to beautiful skin.

Sweet dreams

This cream had us at the name even before we tried it. Snowberry’s Sweet Dreams Night Cream, $54, is suitable for all skin types and helps to maintain skin’s natural moisture balance. It combines skin-compatible ingredient­s including harakeke seed oil from the Snowberry Gardens, and shea butter to soften, moisture and replenish. Dreamy indeed.

Family friendly

New to NZ, Nature Box shampoo, conditione­r, body wash and lotions are suitable for the whole family. Its three skews – Macadamia, Coconut and Avocado – have each been formulated using cold-pressed technology to ensure the natural ingredient­s retain maximum potency. They are also sustainabl­y sourced.

Reef-friendly

Evolu’s new Protective Day Cream SPF30 Clear Zinc, $60, is a simply divine formula that lifts the senses when applied because of its beautiful scent and silky texture. Aside from protecting the skin and making it feel great, the formula is reef safe too. It’s not water resistant but raise your hand if you’ve swum in the ocean wearing moisturise­r. Our hands are raised too!

The loveliest of lotions

Fans of Linden Leaves In Bloom range will be happy to know it’s now available in a Hand and Body Wash, $25 each. Beautiful ‘Pink Petal’, fresh ‘Green Verbena’ and uplifting ‘Aqua Lily’. Such a nice way to start any day. Made in NZ and NATRUE certified.
