Wearable art
Dick Frizzell’s limited-edition glasses for Specsavers also marks the 30th birthday of his unique woodgrain print. For each frame sold, $25 will be donated to fund The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ’s Mobile Eye Clinic (MEC), a state-of-the-art facility that travels to the most remote parts of Fiji to provide sight-saving services to those in need, helping to end avoidable blindness in the Pacific. The artist is encouraging all New Zealanders to embrace their artistic style, while also feeling good about giving back. The frames, $169, are available at Specsavers stores nationwide. And, if you are lucky you might still find one of Frizzell’s limitededition woodgrain lens cloths, $3, which is also raising money for Fred Hollows.
