Skin and bodycare products we’re buzzing about.
Rosehip roller
Trilogy’s Certified Organic Rosehip Oil, $17 (10ml), has been reimagined into a handbag-friendly compact roller. Perfect as a travel partner, as well as for targeting dry patches, scars and areas of the skin needing extra nourishment. Plus, no risk of spillage! It’s formulated with cold-pressed rosehip seed oil, which helps to reduce the appearance of scars by 41 per cent.
Must-have
Wunderbalm’s Whipped Body Butter, $35, melts into the skin the instant it is applied, leaving a beautiful sheen as well as moisturising factor. You will fall in love with its light, yet utterly delectable, cocoa scent. It can also be used to treat dry hair and split ends.
Beauty bestie
A NATRUE certified organic cosmetic is cruelty-free with no nasties, just like a good friend should be. Linden Leaves’ new Miraculous Facial Oil, $55, will nourish, soothe and help regenerate your complexion thanks to its antioxidant-rich, organic blend of rosehip and evening primrose oils infused with white tea.
Sleeping beauty
A wonderful overnight treatment for the skin, Syrene Aqua Hydrating Masque, $120, contains algae extract, pohutukawa, mānuka honey and black fern, which together help restore moisture and repair skin as you sleep.
Balancing act
Evolu’s Balancing Overnight Cream, $55, is a great performer in the arena of good skin. This light, non-greasy hydrating formula works while you sleep to regulate, condition and replenish. Plant and marine actives, including borage, Irish moss and spirulina extracts, balance hydration with protection and help regulate skin tone.
Hydrating haircare
If you have frizzy locks to tame, or dry hair that needs some TLC, hair hero Sukin Replenishing Hair Masque, $22, will come to the rescue. Like all Sukin products, its scent is divine, and it’s luxurious to apply. You can use this nourishing and deeply hydrating blend of shea and cocoa butters, coconut oil and vitamin E as a conditioner, masque or leave-in treatment.
Happy lashes
Just picking up The Body Shop’s Happy Go Lash mascara, $30, makes you smile and your lashes will love it, too. This easy-to-apply gentle formula contains 99 per cent ingredients of natural origin including Community Trade organic virgin coconut oil from Samoa and Community Trade beeswax from Cameroon. The latter is collected using traditional beekeeping techniques. The beeswax is pesticidefree and sustainably wild-harvested.
