· Vogue Italia editor Emanuele Farneti is one of 25 international Vogue editors who made a pledge in December 2019 to help “preserve our planet for future generations”. The January 2020 edition of Vogue Italia used illustrations instead of photo shoots to show the clothes.

· Royal College of Art fashion student Laura Kraup refused to present a physical collection at her 2019 graduate show as a protest against overconsumption. Instead she staged a “die-in” demo with 20 Extinction Rebellion members dressed in their own clothes.
