OBJECTS

-

When your child takes their first step, you will most likely need to relocate any of your favourite objects displayed at a low height. However, it doesn’t mean that every surface area from the hip down has to be decoration-free for years. Once your child gains confidence in their motor skills, reintroduce items for a learning opportunity about respect for others’ belongings. If children can learn to be careful with smaller items, hopefully they will apply that care to everything in the house. Interacting with objects of different textures, shapes and weights can help build cognitive processes and instil a sense of curiosity in a child.
