Setting the stage for love, or rekindling a flame
Are you committed to love and to having a loving relationship in your home? If I were to look in your home, would I believe you? Read through each item listed below. If there are any that don’t describe your home, consider what you might want to change:
· I have a bed that is comfortable for two, with two generous nightstands and two easy-to-use, sturdy lamps on either side.
· My bedroom is clearly a room for adults, not for children or animals.
· My bedroom is a room for rest and romance. It is clear of laundry, paperwork, and other distractions from rest and romance.
· My closet and dresser have open space; everything in my closet and dresser fits; and nothing reminds me of my ex or past life.
· My living room has a space that feels comfortable and safe for spending time with another person.
· My entryway is clear of clutter; there is space for visitors to put down their belongings and stay awhile.
· It is easy to shut out the noise and light from the world when I want to retreat into my bedroom and rest or connect with my partner.
My home clearly reflects who I am but is also flexible and ready for change.
· There are clean towels, fresh soap, and plenty of toilet paper in the bathroom.
· My home is easy to find from the street, with clearly marked house numbers and a safe walkway.
