So happy to get my Good magazine in the mail! Helen Manson’s article about Ugandan mothers (issue 71) moved me to tears. One thing I notice though, as I flick through, is the advertising for anti-ageing products. In a magazine in which body positivity is a cover story, I’d love to see beauty products celebrating our bodies at all stages rather than telling us we could look “better”. This year I was diagnosed with bowel cancer at 32. It’s been a hell of a ride and one thing it has taught me is that our obsession for hiding our age is bullshit! Growing old is a gift and a privilege, so I’m on a mission to love the scars, lines and wrinkles on my body that tell the story of my life. I want to encourage other woman to proudly embrace the way her body tells the story of who she is and the life she is living. Arohanui, Helen

I really enjoyed the green gifting article in issue 71, a great guide to using more sustainable wrapping. As a family we have decided to make our own gift wrap by reusing paper and creating our own designs, getting the whole family to do drawings and write personalised messages on it. We also had a go at furoshiki wrapping with used fabric and are going to use this from now on as well. Thanks for the ongoing useful tips – much appreciated. M McLeod

I really appreciated ‘The Power of the Morning Routine’ feature (issue 71). Lately I have found myself looking within for some positive motivation. This article has reminded me of something I had already learnt but had stopped practicing. I know that if I start the day positively, the day runs so much more smoothly. The morning routine should not be underestimated. Thank you for the beautiful reminder. Ngā mihi, Nicole

Hi Good! I love your magazine – from the pictures, to the articles, and even the paper that you use. The article by Helen Manson on the three Ugandan mothers (issue 71) was both heart-breaking and full of hope for the future. And with the fabulous sustainable gifting and gift-wrapping ideas I’m definitely going to wrap some of our presents differently this year! Love your work! Wilma R.

I was so happy to receive your latest magazine on the day I came home from hospital after being unwell for a week. It’s inspiring to read some positive and uplifting stories while I am recovering. I intend to donate my magazine to the hospital after reading it as I noticed some of the elderly patients didn’t have any visitors. This experience has made me so grateful for all I have in my life. Kind regards Gina Mckenzie

I so enjoyed the article on Comvita (issue 70) and how the honey is helping the wildlife. These articles are what make your magazine so special. It really warms my heart reading how we can make a difference to another country by showing people how to help themselves, and care for wildlife at the same time as protecting biodiversity. I also gifted a subscription to my friend as a birthday gift. She loves it. Shelley Cosford
