Card #45 Who am I? Know yourself so you can BE yourself

-

Over 2000 years ago, Greek philosopher Socrates observed that the unexamined life was not worth living. To be yourself, you have to first know yourself. Who are you? What makes your heart sing? If no one were watching, and money were no object what would you truly love to be doing? Begin to unwrap the layers and discover the unique wonder of who you really are. All you have to do is stay curious and keep exploring. Spend one whole minute looking at yourself in the mirror. Look into your own eyes and say: I love you, I forgive you, I accept you, I appreciate you. Do this each morning for a week. Write a reminder on your toothbrush!

Y? Getting to know ourselves can be a lifelong adventure of discovery. The commitment is worth it, leading to a deeper, more authentic and more fulfilling life experience.

“Within you, there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself.” Hermann Hesse.
