GIVE IT A GO

You will need

· old pots and wooden spoons (or your regular pots if using foodgrade ingredients)

· metal tongs

· gloves for handling freshly dyed paper as well as any mordants

· absorbent paper of medium thickness, such as 110gsm sketch paper

· parchment paper for laying out freshly dyed, wet paper

· ventilated stovetop area · selected fruit and vegetable skins, leaves or spices

· optional: rusty metal objects, plant cuttings and twine for bundles, metal colander for steaming, milk and paintbrush

· face masks

(if handling powdered mordants)

· lids on your pots (for mordant-related fumes)
