Playing fair

When we think of ethical products, often the first thing that comes to mind is clothing, as many of us are choosing to opt out of fast fashion. But toys are another consumer good that is extremely polluting and often made by people working in poor conditions. Plastic toys amount to 90 per cent of the toy industry. Many of these toys are tricky, if not impossible to recycle. That’s why we love Fairplay, an ethical toy company that stocks 100 per cent natural, sustainable and ethically made toys. Fairplay toys are sourced from 35 di erent Fairtrade collectives, which support women entrepreneurs in the developing world.
