Last year, MECCA celebrated the launch of its partnership with TerraCycle, a free national in-store recycling collection programme for customers’ empty beauty products. One year on, MECCA is excited to announce the roll-out of its TerraCycle bins in all stores across Australia and New Zealand. The in-store TerraCycle bins manufactured in Melbourne are made from 100 per cent post-consumer waste – the product of the empty beauty containers its customers and team members have recycled through TerraCycle. To date MECCA has collected 11,948kg of empty beauty waste, which equates to over 150,000 empty beauty containers that would have otherwise hit landfills.
