Shaun Barnett

Shaun Barnett has tramped all over New Zealand, including a piecemeal traverse of Kā Tiritiri o te Moana/ The Southern Alps. He is a former editor of Wilderness Magazine and the Federated Mountain Club’s Backcountr­y/FMC Bulletin, and the author of 10 books. His latest book, Tramping in Aotearoa: New Zealand’s Top 45 Tracks, showcases our best-known great walks, two of which feature on pages 94-97.

Leah Evans

Leah Evans lives in rural south Rotorua with her husband and teenage children, where they live off homegrown food year-round. Having grown her own vegetables for nearly 25 years, starting with a tiny patio garden, Leah has a solid background in how to get the most out of growing in spaces of any size. Her new book, Hands in the Dirt, is a practical, down to earth how-to-garden book covering the basics of vege growing and includes 40 simple, tasty family recipes.

Natalie Walton

Natalie Walton is a writer and stylist for leading interiors and lifestyle magazines, as well as the owner of Imprint House. Her work has appeared on the pages of internatio­nal titles for Elle Decoration, Livingetc and Harper’s Bazaar. In Australia, she is a regular contributo­r to titles including Australian House & Garden, Country Style, Home Beautiful, Inside Out, Jones and Marie Claire, and she former deputy editor of Real Living.
