SUSAN WRIGHT
Australian-born photographer Susan Wright has lived in Rome since 2003, drawn by the city’s artistic and historic depth. For our feature on page 142 she travelled to the sleepy island of Ponza in the Tyrrhenian Sea, equidistant from Rome and Naples. “The Pontine islands are a curious mix of exclusivity and obscurity,” she says. “I love Ponza, the largest in the archipelago, for its spectacular coastline, fascinating history and unexpectedly great food for an island of only about 3,500 people.”
