Expect surprising installations during the South Australian Living Artists Festival (1-31 August), when more than 3000 artists open their studios or transform public spaces across the state into unusual pop-up galleries. Highlights of the Wellington on a Plate food festival (12-28 August) include a dinner party in the Southward Car Museum, an Argentine asador night, and a craft beer festival, Beervana. And Penang’s George Town Festival is expected to attract more than 400,000 people to about 50 events in the historic town until 28 August.
