Business is running hot and cold on the Mornington Peninsula. An ice cave full of falling “snow” and a deep freeze set to -25 degrees are among more heated pursuits in a $13-million expansion at Peninsula Hot Springs in Fingal. Seven new geothermal pools (including an aquatherapy pool) are fitted with underwater speakers, and surround a stage and amphitheatre for performances, talks and yoga. Also new are a third eatery, two 30-person saunas to complement the cold therapies, and a wellness centre. Further plans include accommodation in private lodges, a hotel and camping. Open daily 7am-10pm,
