Don Draper’s Old Fashioned

(1/4 cup) Bourbon or rye whisky and a splash of soda water to a lowball glass filled with ice and stir until well chilled (30 seconds). To serve, run a slice of orange around the rim of the glass before topping the drink with an orange twist, or a maraschino cherry.
