Each of the Great Walks is managed by the Department of Conservation and numbers are limited. To secure a spot, visit doc.govt.nz and search ‘Great Walks’. Some tracks are seasonal and not open year-round so be sure to research and plan ahead. For premium guided walks, book via ultimatehikes.co.nz
