LOCAL LUXURY

-

It’s billed as a Santa Fe castle and there is definitely something magical about Ser Infinito Estate, located just three hours’ drive from Sydney. The sprawling adobe property was built as a private residence by the new-age author Stuart Wilde in the late 1990s, complete with handmade tiles and fixtures imported from New Mexico. Look closely and you can spot footprints in the floor tiles, where a pack of wild coyotes walked across the wet clay before the tiles were shipped to Australia. Now, the refurbished property is available for hire for the first time in its 25-year history, transporting guests to another world as they soak up endless views across the estate’s 12 hectares of bushland and beyond, all the way to the Shoalhaven coast. Luxurious yet playful, the property features eccentric flourishes throughout, including pint-sized doors especially for children and a secret tunnel. There is also a rooftop pool and Japanese bathhouse, complete with an 8-person spa and sauna, while a private chef and butler are available on request. serinfinitoestate.com.au
