“The overarching theme is French/gypsy jazz mixed with a little low-key Afro jazz and swing,” says Swillhouse Group co-owner Stefan Forte, whose list is a showcase of his favourites from the many playlists he’s compiled for his characterful French bistro Restaurant Hubert over the years. “I chose Henry Mancini’s Lujon because it transports you to another world – and it’s also from the dream scene in The Big Lebowski,” Forte says. “Another which completely fits into the Hubert universe is Serge Gainsbourg’s Intoxicated Man. It’s cheeky, sexy and entices me to get up to no good.”
