Chef ready to un­veil his se­crets

Al­bany will wel­come Aus­tralia’s beloved chef, au­thor, pre­sen­ter and MasterChef win­ner Adam Liaw to lead a line-up of dozens of chefs at the Taste Great South­ern food and wine fes­ti­val in April.

Liaw will fol­low in the foot­steps of other renowned chefs such as Marco Pierre White, Chan­dra Yu­dass­wara and Jus­tine Schofield, who have all vis­ited Taste Great South­ern in the past three years.

His twist on Aus­tralian cui­sine is shown on his award-win­ning food and travel show, Des­ti­na­tion Flavour, and his tal­ent for cre­at­ing sim­ple, ex­cit­ing dishes has seen him write six best­seller cook­books.

Liaw said he was ex­cited to de­velop recipes with fresh and unique pro­duce from the Great South­ern.

“The mar­ron is what a lot of vis­it­ing chefs talk about — and that is great but that’s only the start of it,” he said.

“The re­gion’s got an amaz­ing list of pro­duce like wagyu, mud oys­ters and even udon noo­dles.”

Taste Great South­ern will run from April 4-14 and will of­fer 10 full days of events. Liaw will ap­pear at the Women of the Re­gion Lunch at Hy­bla, the Rock­cliffe Night Market, and Al­bany Wine and Food Fes­ti­val at Eyre Park.

MasterChef win­ner, pro­lific cook­book au­thor and tele­vi­sion pre­sen­ter Adam Liaw will be in Al­bany for Taste Great South­ern next year.
