Un­der­ground exit lim­ited

PERTH Un­der­ground Sta­tion’s main exit is set to be se­verely lim­ited for six months after Transperth an­nounced the Mur­ray Street exit would un­dergo re­fur­bish­ment. Two es­ca­la­tors un­der the sta­tion’s Info Cen­tre will be closed for about six months to re­place the ex­ist­ing es­ca­la­tors. The stairs will also be lim­ited dur­ing this time, while some ticket and add value ma­chines will also be out of use dur­ing this time. Transperth has ad­vised pas­sen­gers to con­sider al­ter­na­tive ex­its, such as the 140 Wil­liam Street exit which leads to Globe Lane. Work is on­go­ing at the plat­form’s cen­tre to up­grade the es­ca­la­tor running from the Joon­dalup and Man­durah lines, which will be out of ser­vice un­til late 2018.
