Swan Lake at the Quarry

The Perth City Bal­let is pre­sent­ing Swan Lake at the Quarry Am­phithe­atre this month, star­ring in­ter­na­tional guest artist Ivan Tarakanov who ap­pears cour­tesy of the At­lanta Bal­let, and guest artist Sarah Hep­burn, pre­vi­ously a soloist with the WA Bal­let Com­pany. The clas­sic story tells the tale of a beau­ti­ful princess who has been turned into a swan. DE­TAILS: Quarry Am­phithe­atre, 1 Wal­dron Drive, City Beach, Jan­uary 16 to 19 at 8pm.

Dju­randi Dream­ing

Learn about Abo­rig­i­nal knowl­edge, sto­ries, sea­sons and tech­niques for paint­ing at these fam­ily cre­ative learn­ing work­shops at the Art Gallery of WA. Par­tic­i­pants will be guided by artist Justin Mar­tin and will find out about the artist’s coun­try, jour­ney and in­spi­ra­tion for paint­ing, with all able to take a can­vas home.
