DOZENS of locals had a brighter festive season thanks to Bethanie on the Park in Menora. Residents, staff, friends and family donated bags and goods for the national ‘It’s In The Bag’ campaign. Thirty-five handbags were donated and filled with items such as makeup, sunscreen, shampoo, jewellery and personal handwritten cards to brighten the lives of women in need. Chaplain trainee Kyla Hillmer said it was the second year in a row residents had taken part in the appeal.
“We had a bag packing party with residents, from Bethanie on the Park joining in the occasion wearing Santa hats to pack the bags in the spirit of Christmas. Everyone had such a great time,” she said.
