Example4 Classic rock I-IV-V in G
This is a I-IV-V progression in the key of G using open chords. For the D/F# chord try using your thumb to fret the sixth string. You may need to roll your guitar volume down a touch to lessen the gain and clean up the chords. In bars 2 and 4 arch your fingers slightly more than usual so they don’t foul on the still vibrating third, fourth and fifth strings, thus allowing them to ring together.
