For the recording, as is customary with a lot of modern blues players, I used a completely clean amp setting with all of the distortion coming from an overdrive pedal (The Zendrive: referred to as a ‘Dumble in a box’). However you choose to obtain your overdrive sound, a touch of delay in time with the track, or a splash of reverb, will add thickness and colour to your tone
