This example uses the same changes as Example 4 but exploits a slightly different approach. Here we see how Earl might approach syncopated singlenote lines juxtaposed with a selection of choice double-stops separated by diatonic 6ths. That’s quite a variety of ideas in such a short section. Your best option here from a picking perspective is a combination of thumb and first finger (or if you’re a hybrid picking aficionado, plectrum and first finger).
