UK Guitar Show: September 29/30
Come and met the GT team - and Experience Cream! The UK Guitar Show is shaping up to be the best in the country, featuring most of the big name guitar, amp and pedal manufacturers, plus tuition, performances and more.
Many of GT’s editorial staff and writers will be there, including Neville Marten, Jason Sidwell, Justin Sandercoe, Jon Bishop, John Wheatcroft, Bridget Mermikides, Milton Mermikides and Richard Barrett. There will be seminars and gigs to attend, as well as all that great gear to see and play. And of course experts from the various companies to chat to for help and advice.
Topping off the Saturday evening is Experience Cream – featuring Neville Marten of this parish, Mick Taylor (ex-Guitarist, now That Pedal Show) and Jamie Dickson (current Guitarist editor) bringing you the music of Cream and Hendrix. Having sold-out two years at Bristol’s prestigious Jazz & Blues Festival, Eric and Jimi fans are assured of a great night. Mick, Jamie and Nev will all be on hand to chat about the music, their guitars, amps, pedals and more.
Tuition will include: Classical workshops with Bridget; Mastering Rhythm and Modes For Mortals with Milton (and Jason); Gypsy Jazz with Wheaty; Rock & Roll with Bish; and Blues Headlines ‘Live’ with Richard Barrett (and Neville M). Justin will be hosting his own special lesson, to be announced
There’s the Guitarist Of The Year competition on Saturday afternoon (previous winners include Guthrie Govan and Dave Kilminster); watch the finals of the main GOTY event, plus the popular Acoustic and Young Guitarist categories – in fact, why not come and cheer them on?
