EXAMPLE 1 [Bars 1-16] Crosspicking from the first to third strings is usually fine with the‘ a mi’ fingers but on faster fiddle melodies it’s often easier to use a banjo inspired‘ mip’ approach, as I’ve done here, and this is something you’ll see many fingerpickers do.
