Blues songstress’s powerful debut The story goes that when Mike Vernon – who produced Mayall’s ‘Beano’, as well as many other equally standout recordings – was in Tennessee to receive a Keeping The Blues Alive award, when he happened upon Sari Schorr and decided to come out of semi-retirement to take his place behind the desk once again. Listening to the opening track, Ain’t Got No Money, it’s obvious to see exactly why. Schorr is possessed of an extremely powerful voice that suits the yearning quality of the blues to a T.
