Blues dream team delivers the goods This June sees the long-awaited collaboration between bluesmen Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’ come to fruition, a partnership that straddles two generations of the genre. The pair have known each other for many years; in fact, Keb’ recalls that he was first made aware of Taj when Mahal played at a high school assembly many moons ago.“He’s a stellar human being," he says,“and making this record was a really big deal for me.”The album includes cameos from the likes of Bonnie Raitt and Joe Walsh, which adds to the must-have quality of the recording for anyone interested in contemporary blues.
