Unbound headstock with ‘modern script’ Gibson pearlinlaid logo with free dot on ‘i’ and open ‘b’& ‘o’; ‘bell’ truss rod cover
3. PLASTICS
Square-cornered jack plate; single ring Kluson Deluxe tuners with plastic keystone buttons; clear, gold-backed, plain-top, flared-base ‘bonnet’ knobs; cream M-69 pickup surrounds
4. HARDWARE
Nickel-plated adjustable Tune-omatic bridge with ‘stop’ tailpiece enables accurate adjustment of action and string intonation
5. PICKUPS
Double PAF (Patent Applied For) noise-cancelling humbuckers with black bobbins and nickel plated covers; ‘bumble bee’ Sprague tone capacitors
6. BODY
Single-cut, one-piece solid mahogany with two-piece maple cap (some with figured maple) and single-bound top; Cherry Red Sunburst, often with photosensitive red dye faded; Cherry Red back and sides

Chunky profile, one-piece solid mahogany glued-in neck with single-bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard and trapezoid pearl inlays
