Those of us hankering after a Black Crowes reunion were delighted to find this debut album from The Magpie Salute, featuring Rich Robinson, Marc Ford and Sven Pipien with the band’s late keyboard player Eddie Harsch making his final recorded appearance. As far as the music is concerned, it’s Southern Rock all the way, kicking off with an exuberant cover of Delaney & Bonnie’s Comin’Home which sets the theme for the rest of the album. Marc Ford told us,“Hearing the record, I was so shocked at how incredible it is.”And we wholeheartedly agreed!
