I’m a recent convert to chase Bliss audio’s Gravitas tremolo and tonal recall RKM analogue delay and have become very interested in digitally-controlled analogue effects pedals as a result. anyone familiar with Luke Hilton’s Stone Deaf or Joel Korte’s chase Bliss audio will know what I’m talking about, but if you’re not already familiar with the idea of controllin­g analogue effects with MIDI, just think of it as having an extra pair of hands.

as much as I’m a happy customer of digitally processed sounds and harbour no reverse snobbery, I also happen to love experiment­ing with things like analogue delay parameters and creating all sorts of trippy sounds on the fly. returning from outer space to a favourite setting has always presented a bit of a challenge, but the savant-like MIDI ‘brain’ of chase Bliss’s tonal recall RKM allows you to go anywhere from warped out Free Your mind and Your ass Will Follow feedback to good, old-fashioned slapback at the push of a button.
