Sometimes it’s all about out-and-out quality. Such was the case with the Source Audio Ventris Dual Reverb, which reviewer Trevor Curwen liked so much he immediately went out and bought. Of such material are Gear Of The Year winners made. In his original review, he said of the Ventris that “the outstanding impression of hearing the Ventris in action for the first time is the quality of its reverbs… Particular highlights include the Spring, which may just be the most accurate digital re proof the real thing that we’ve heard in a pedal.” Trevor went on to laud it as “a formidable ambience work horse .” You can run two of the pedal’s 12 reverb voices at any one time and because the pedal has two processors onboard, you can let the tails of one ’verb fade even as you switch to the second or, for rich multi-layered sounds, run two at once.
