JOHN MAYER TRIO

There is (quite correctly) much talk at the moment of John’s latest release, Sob Rock. However, hearing him on this live album in a less produced context is also impressive. Check out Who Did You Think I Was, Wait Until Tomorrow and Daughters to hear him integrate chordal harmony, pentatonics and funky chord patterns without missing a beat. There is no place to hide in a trio format, but there’s also the opportunity to step up and shine. TRY!
