The winery sits in the beautiful gardens and vineyard of Ocean Eight. Winemaker Michael Aylward’s interest in wine began in the 1990s at his family’s previous winery Kooyong, and it became a full-time obsession with the inception of Ocean Eight in 2006. Within five years, he had won the prestigious Young Gun of Wine. The winery was constructed 12 years ago to increase production, and features a gravity-fed cellar, and an intimate tasting room above the cellar.
