Tahbilk is the oldest winery and vineyard in Victoria, having been established in 1860 and owned/operated by the Purbrick family since 1925. With a bushland setting and a myriad of waterways and lagoons, Tahbilk enjoys a cooler climate than the surrounding Goulburn Valley; perfect for grape growing. A visit to Tahbilk, steps you back in time. The original winery houses the tasting room and red wine fermentation cellar. Come during vintage time and there will be red wine bubbling away in the open vats, just like 160 years ago.
