55/35/10% cabernet/shiraz/malbec, from older Vale vines. A sumptuous wine, but still riding a saddle of savouriness over the regional norm of sweet fruit (and too often, excessive oak). Cassis, hedgerow, sage and a smear of black olive. Some anise and violet, too. The tannins, finely wrought. Fresh, long and effortless. NG 14.3% alc.

McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek; intensity and opulence! Our CSM is blackberry and plum-driven from the cabernet and shiraz, with blueberry notes and a violet pop, courtesy of the malbec. Drinking beautifully and a stunning match to slow-cooked osso bucco with gremolata over polenta.
