Charles Melton Wines, having commenced production in 1984, has entered an exciting new phase with Sophie-Claire Melton (Charlie and Virginia’s daughter) joining the winemaking team. Recipient of the Gramp Hardy Smith Medal for most outstanding student in Viticulture and Oenology (Adelaide University, 2018), she ushers in the next generation.

How should we enjoy these wines this season? While they all have cellaring potential, these three wines would be delicious alongside your traditional Christmas roast.

What wine are you most excited about? To add to the Christmas drinks list (or someone’s Christmas stocking!) is our NV Sparkling Red, disgorged after 40 months on lees. Made in the methode traditionelle, this wine is a complex, fragrant, mouth-filling fizz! It will be released on November 15, 2022.
