2016 Stonier KBS Vineyard Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay

Fermented in French puncheons (25% new), 50% mlf, blended after 6 months, and returned to used puncheons for a further 5 months. A bright, light and fresh colour, bouquet and palate? Well, it’s not quite that simple. The fruit/acid/oak balance is very good, the flavours fine and grapefruit-driven, albeit with a backing of white peach and apple. Harmony is its ace in the hole.
