Part machine, part hand-picked, openfermented, 9-12 days on skins, one parcel with 15 days, matured in French oak (20% new) for 21 months. The very essence of McLaren Vale shiraz: medium to full-bodied, abundant black cherry, plum and dark chocolate, the tannins ripe and rounded, oak absorbed. The balance and length seem an almost inevitable outcome. 14.5% alc.
